RECIPE: YOGURT BANANA GHOST POPS

Share

Let’s get spooky! Using some ingredients you probably already have in the house, you can easily make some yummy popsicles. These banana ghost pops are an easy and healthy dessert (or snack) to get everyone into the Halloween spirit! Make sure you plan ahead because they will need to harden in the freezer for some time before serving.

INGREDIENTS:

  • Bananas
  • Vanilla yogurt
  • Raisins
  • Cheerios
  • Chocolate chips
  • Candy eyes
  • Popsicle sticks

INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. Keeping the peel on cut the banana in half and then cut each half lengthwise.
  2. Insert popsicle stick into each piece and take the peel off.
  3. Place each quarter on parchment paper on a small pan and put them in the freezer for 2-3 hours.
  4. Dip frozen banana pop completely into vanilla yogurt.
  5. Quickly place on your eyes and mouth (using the Cheerios, chocolate chips, raisins, or candy eyes)
  6. Place back in freezer for 30 min-1 hour to harden.

Everyone will go BOO-nanas over this delicious and healthy treat! You can serve the same day or or wrap each popsicle in a sealed bag. Ask the kids to join in the process by letting them decorate the faces of the ghosts.
