Creating a sensory bin doesn’t have to be expensive and overwhelming. For the month of September, I decided to go with a school themed sensory bin.

September means kids are getting ready to go back to school. My son isn’t old enough to attend school yet, but he loves playing with school buses. I had to make sure I included one in this bin! Then, as always, I made sure to include some sort of fine motor tool. This time I put in a scooper and also provided tongs.

Sensory bins are a great way to encourage kids to explore. They love to learn through hands-on play. These bins are also a great way to provide an independent and quiet activity. Take a look at my other blog posts to see how I change the sensory bins every season.
